Just Talk About It Teams Spread the Word in Denver

The weather was chilly, but the activity was hot for our Just Talk About It Teams touting Beforeplay.org in Denver on Friday, Feb.10. Our team hit the streets to get the conversation started about pregnancy, birth control and STDs while passing out fun prizes and sharing interesting facts with adults ages 18-29.

Our first stop was at Metropolitan State College of Denver, where students rolled the dice to start conversations about sexual health and win some fun beforeplay.org goodies like boxers, t-shirts, lip balm and of course, FREE condoms! We then moved on to the 16th Street Mall where the beforeplay.org commercials are being featured on the giant electronic billboard at 16th and Champa.

Finally, we hit the bars in Lodo, including The Ginn Mill, to get people talking and thinking. Free condoms were given out to make sure the only thing people picked up that night was a date – not an STD and to remind them it’s easier to have a conversation than a baby!

Our Just Talk About It Teams are engaging the age group with the highest incidence of unintended pregnancy, young adults ages 18-29, in places they frequent, like downtown areas and bars. We’re hoping to get the conversation started about important sexual health issues like birth control, pregnancy and STDs to encourage young adults to make smart choices for their future.

Our Just Talk About It Teams will be making stops in other Colorado cities in the following weeks. Follow us on Facebook and Twitter for more details!
