STDs are more common than you might think – step up to protect your (and others’) health

April is STD Awareness Month, and at we’re all about helping young adults in Colorado make informed decisions about their sexual health, including preventing STDs. While STDs can seem like something that only happens to other people, the reality is that one in four people have an STD. In fact, one in two sexually active people will have an STD by age 25, and most won’t show any symptoms.

Although Colorado is one of the healthiest states, Coloradans are not exempt from STDs. The rate of gonorrhea among 15-29 year olds in Colorado is twice the national average, which is one of the many reasons why using protection every time is so important. was created to help reduce statistics like these by providing accurate information about STDs and STD prevention, along with a clinic finder so young adults can easily find places to get tested.
