If I had an unplanned pregnancy during medical school or residency, it would have totally derailed my career– I don’t know how I could have done it all. I made the choice to finish my schooling and training first, and by doing that, I was better prepared for motherhood. Today, I have three beautiful children and I’m physician chief of our OB/GYN department. Because of my careful planning, I get to have the best of both worlds.”
